Drew heat from the house

Drew heat from the house

I am typically shocked how the solution to a problem ends up being so fundamentally easy.

With that being said, I can search a long time without finding it.

Yet when I suppose a long sought after solution, I instantly suppose it. Then comes the face palm and a long drawn out crossword. This series of events never ceases to amaze me. Wait long enough and the answer will be right next to you. This just happened to myself and others concerning a guest room in my condo. Our back guest living room simply remains cold. I had tried everything that came to my mind to maintain a warmer temperature in this room. Space furnaces didn’t work unless you stood right next to it. I ended up just dumping blankets on our poor guests hoping they wouldn’t leave. I finally provided up and called our Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker. He did some temperature measurements and proposed some bright ideas. First, I should re-weatherstrip the window and be sure it was fully insulated with spray foam. Second, he thought it might help to transfer the control equipment to a much more centrally located area. This way maybe the mean temperature of the home would be more accurately represented. The heating and cooling tech took care of all the vents and HVAC duct that are right next to the room. Everything was in order. The window was absolutely already insulated although I added some weatherstripping. I was not too keen on removing and moving around my control equipment out of the wall. So, I continued to let the problem linger. Until there was this one night when I saw the answer. I found it on the internet by chance. The best option to the cold room problem was room to room ventilators. They were an simple repair that installed absolutely and drew heat from a few other rooms.
