I work at a small mechanics shop in the middle of town.
There are only four employees in the office area, and that is where I work.
I am the main secretary in town, and I honestly love my position. My boss is kind, and the pay is very competitive. I am very lucky that I was able to obtain this job because there are people a lot more qualified than I am. Frankly, I can only think of one aspect of the job that I personally dislike. There is somebody in our building that is constantly adjusting the thermostat. The HVAC units around this office are going haywire because of it. I believe it is Melinda that is causing all of this. She wanted to get the position that I had, and now she is making us and the HVAC units pay for it. She is adjusting the furnace too high during warmer days outside and turning the air conditioner off at the worst times. No matter how many times we change the thermostat back, someone walks over there and messes with it. I think we need to have a camera placed near the thermostats and HVAC units for all of our sanity. Hopefully, this HVAC nightmare ends soon. Another alternative is to buy a smart thermostat that only our boss or a trusted person can monitor. That would prevent anybody from adjusting the thermostat. Regardless of what they decide, something needs to be done before we ruin our HVAC units for good and cost the company countless dollars in repair or replacement.
