I laid in bed the other night & it didn’t matter what I did, I couldn’t get to sleep.
Both of us didn’t need the air conditioning all day long & I didn’t suppose I would need it at night either.
I was so wrong in our assumption. I didn’t want to get out of bed to turn on the air conditioning. I have a window air conditioning system in our family room. I used to have a remote control & I could turn it on from our bed, however not anymore. I was moving our bed a couple weeks ago, when I heard a crunch, however i was so miserable with myself that I could have screamed, however the disfigure was done. I was now kneeling in our bed, dripping with sweat like a hog & trying to figure out how to get to sleep without the air conditioning. I threw off the covers & laid there a little longer, hoping to forget about the siren call of the air conditioning. I knew that if I got out of bed to turn on the air conditioning, I would be done. I wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. As our skin began to assume greasy & I felt like I was breathing out steam, I finally succumbed to the call of the air conditioning system. I got up & turned it on. I laid back down with a steady stream of refreshing cool air blowing over me. I also kept thinking about the peach in the microwave & how I could a bit more work done now that it was cooler. I headed out to the family room, turned on the A/C & pulled out our computer.
