When my home kept having issues with overheating in the winter and overcooling in the summer, I thought I must’ve been cursed.

Why else would I be dealing with an issue like this? How many people have dealt with their home being too cold during the summer, or too warm in the winter? Well, I seem to be one of the few.

The cause was simple enough – I would leave for work every morning, and have to leave the heating or air conditioning systems running during the day. This was just so the place would stay at the same comfortable temperature setting, as anything else would cause the house to become too uncomfortable when I got back home. This was great for ensuring that I came home to a house with excellent temperatures and indoor air quality, but it was bad since I had to fork out so much money to pay for the upkeep and maintenance! It got to a point where I had to pay money for a smart thermostat to be installed at my home, all to keep the house feeling cooler or warmer for longer without costing an arm and a leg to operate. When I had the smart thermostat installed, I saw a major improvement in energy use within a week’s time! This was due to the smart thermostat turning on the air conditioning unit about half an hour before I was going to get home. Now the house would be pre-cooled with the A/C running, and I wouldn’t have to cool the house all day long to make it happen!
