Tax return – new AC system

Tax return – new AC system

Nick August 18, 2019

When you’re a child every holiday is the best day ever.

You can’t wait to open up your gifts and see what Mysteries await and all of the shiny packaging. You always have a fun time with the gifts that you’re given, because they are intentionally engaging and exciting. When you become an adult, it’s not the same. The gifts that you receive are often very practical and boring because being an adult is very practical and boring. Even things that could be exciting like receiving money as a gift tends to be a huge letdown for me. I never can bring myself to spend money on frivolous things, so I usually just put the cash towards something practical anyways. Not very exciting. However, the one thing I really look forward to is my gift from the IRS each year… My tax return. This year I do have some big and exciting plans for this special event. I’m going to get an all new AC system for my house. I’ve been waiting for nearly a year now to replace my outdated and failing air conditioner. I don’t know what its problem is, except that it’s about 15 years old. I don’t believe that it had excellent maintenance performed throughout its life, so the whole system has been limping along since I’ve owned it. It’s rarely cool enough and very expensive to operate. Since last summer I’ve had my tax return expenditure all mapped out. I know exactly which AC unit I’m going to invest in. I also have all of the installation costs added up, and a particularly great discount coupon saved up and ready to go. My indoor cooling system is going to be it state-of-the-art and affordable. This AC upgrade is going to be the best gift I’ve received in a decade.
