Every year when I have our air conditioning idea cleaned & the repair done, I make an appointment to have our furnace cleaned in the fall & a tentative appointment for our air conditioning the following year.
I guess that a year can bring several changes in one’s life.
A couple years ago, I was getting ready to go away for a couple of afternoons when I remembered that it was time to get our air conditioning system took care of. I couldn’t assume that an entire year had passed. I had the appointment set up & I knew I should call & have the Heating & A/C appointment postponed. I got so tied up with all of the packing & plans that I completely forgot. By the time I remembered again, it was the day of the A/C repair & the time had passed. I knew I was going lake beach house the next day & I would find a bill for the missed appointment. I was so miserable that it nearly ruined our getaway with the women. When I got lake beach house the following day, I was right about the bill being shoved in the door. I opened up the note & it was from our Heating & A/C tech. He told myself and others that he had tried to call, however I wasn’t answering. Since I wasn’t home, he assumed I still wanted to have the air conditioning unit took care of. He had gone ahead & cleaned & took care of the A/C unit, although I wasn’t home. He said he would send the report by mail, along with the bill for any charges.
