When I was hired as the office supervisor for a local accounting firm I was pretty excited.
I had worked for years at a smaller firm and I was the secretary even though I applied for the task. I knew it would come with more responsibilities and I was good with that even though I did not suppose that it would include being a repair guy as well. I thought it odd when I open the bottom drawer of our desk and found a small tool box by I figured that they just started there. Maybe they needed a screwdriver or something to hang a picture now and then even though I assumed they had a repair guy that worked on everything else. I returned from lunch a single afternoon and found a note from our boss saying that he needed to see me and I was a bit confused. So far as I knew there were no major problems going on in the office and everything was running smoothly, but come to find out he handed me the manual for the Heating plus Air Conditioning method and told me that the instruction were inside for adjusting out the filters, then he also told me where the new filters were located in the storage room and said that if I had any problems to let him know, and now I am not a handy guy and our hubby normally handles all of those type of things at new home so I entirely wasn’t sure where to start. I did not want to see him incompetent so I simply told him that I would take care of it. I now understood why there were tools in our desk even though I had to go online to watch videos on how to change the filters in the method that both of us had. I guess I should have asked for a complete list of duties when I started the task.
