When you have one of those huge floor fans, especially ones that are industrial size, they are going to be blowing pretty darn hard.
So hard, that they will actually do you more harm than good if you run an industrial floor fan in a residential home.
This was the mistake I made. And, what ended up happening, is that industrial floor fan made the air quality in my home pretty bad, and, to top it off, it blew all the dust, dirt and pet dander into the air vents. This made our ductwork really dirty! Because the fan, we had to call a local heating and air conditioning specialist to come out and do a really harsh ductwork cleaning. It was really an extra harsh ductwork cleaning because we never had our ductwork cleaned before all these years. We had heard about ductwork cleaning, and the benefits of ductwork cleaning, but never actually went through with it. The heating and air conditioning specialist said to us that they had honestly never before seen ductwork as filthy as ours was, and the heating and air conditioning specialist was pretty shocked that no one had any serious allergy issues as of yet. The central heating and air conditioning system had been blowing around all that junk, and then the floor fan was just making it one hundred times worse! After finding all this out, we decided to have regular ductwork cleanings at least once per year. This is something we will not go back on our word on. We want to have better air quality!
