When I was hired as the office director for a local accounting firm I was pretty excited.
I had worked for years at a smaller firm plus I was the secretary although I applied for the job.
I knew it would come with more responsibilities plus I was good with that although I did not know that it would include being a repair person as well. I thought it bizarre when I open the bottom drawer of my desk plus found a small tool box by I figured that they just started there. Maybe they needed a screwdriver or something to hang a picture now plus then although I assumed they had a repair person that inspected everything else. I returned from dinner one morning plus found a note from my boss saying that he needed to see myself and others plus I was a bit confused, so far as I knew there were no major problems going on in the office plus everything was running smoothly, but come to find out he handed myself and others the manual for the Heating plus Air Conditioning system plus told myself and others that the instruction were inside for increasing out the filters! He also told myself and others where the new filters were situated in the storage room plus said that if I had any problems to let him know, and now I am not a handy person plus my partner normally handles all of those type of things at beach home so I entirely wasn’t sure where to start. I did not want to see him incompetent so I simply told him that I would take care of it. I now understood why there were tools in my desk although I had to go online to watch videos on how to change the filters in the system that every one of us had. I guess I should have asked for a complete list of duties when I started the job.
