Because the radiant method relies on water rather than air, it doesn’t bring in any outside contaminants such as dust, dander, mold spores or other allergens. It is the perfect method to maintain a cleaner and healthier indoor environment. The unit operates silently and is totally hidden. It takes up no living space, doesn’t look ugly or require the furniture to be arranged to accommodate vents! Radiant heating avoids problems with HVAC duct, drafts and temperature fluctuation. The warmest un-even temperatures are closer to the floor, where the heat does the most good! Plus, the simple set up of zone control offers better management of the system. Independent room-by-room temperature caters to personal preference and requirements. There’s no need to heat empty areas or live with rooms that tend to recognize chilly or boiling. While the installation of hydronic-style radiant floors is easier while in a new construction project, it is possible to retrofit into an existing home. Electric radiant floors are less expensive and easier to install however aren’t quite as beneficial.
