I suppose that having the gas furnace diagnosed is a normal section of owning a gas furnace and of our pre-Winter time service.
I’m not sure why both of us didn’t have the service done on the gas furnace, but somehow, it had just been overlooked.
I don’t suppose if both of us would have even remembered when both of us did, if our gas furnace hadn’t started blowing cold air instead of warm. I knew that I had the temperature control set a bit lower this year, even though I didn’t have the air conditioning on. The temperature control was set at sixty-eight and the temperature in the lake house was down to fifty-eight. I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier and asked them if they could come to the lake house before the opportunity of our pipes cold, occurred. Three hours later, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman was in the lake house and working on our gas furnace. They asked us if both of us had our service done on the gas furnace. I was going to say yes, but our spouse told the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech that both of us hadn’t. She told us that if both of us had our gas furnace service done, she wouldn’t be there working on the gas furnace at that moment. The service would have picked up on the problem with the gas furnace and it could have been repaired during the regular yearly inspection. Every one of us already felt exhausting enough about not having the inspection and now to find out both of us had to go without heat for any length of time because of it, just add salt to the wound. I vowed that both of us would never forget to have our annual service done on the gas furnace or the air conditioning. Making the repairs were much more fancy than having the service done.
