I enjoy writing more in cold weather

if you’ve ever worked from home, then you understand that it’s a careful Balancing Act between being comfortable and keeping yourself highly productive.

It’s really easy to get distracted and let your mind wander when you are surrounded by all of your personal belongings.

You can easily get distracted with thinking about another project, cleaning that needs to be done, or making to-do list for later in the day. However, if you do it right, you can be far more efficient and productive than working out side in an office. Personally, I’m finding that I’m a much more efficient home worker during the cold season. I might use this temperature finding to my advantage throughout the year. You see, throughout the warm summer season we have to operate central cooling nonstop. The house will get stagnant and terribly uncomfortable if you turn off the air conditioning system for a minute. This isn’t such a bad thing, except my desk is located directly in front of an air vent. Entire warm season, there is ice cold air blowing out on my feet. I try to block the cold air, but nothing is extremely efficient. Honestly, it makes me cranky and uncomfortable with the whole time that I’m working. I realized that in the cold season, I feel completely differently about this air vent. Now, it’s blowing wonderful, toasty warm air straight on my toes. I can wrap up in a blanket, get super warm and comfortable, and hammer out all of my work without breaking a sweat. I think I’m going to have a very productive winter.
