I called the HVAC company again and I asked them to come out to look at the AC unit.
Lately, we have been having some big issues with having a lot of flies hanging out around our air conditioning unit. It can be really frustrating during the summer, because we already get swarms of mosquitoes. Now, with the flies on the air conditioning unit, I don’t even want to go outside. I know that it sounds odd, but the flies seem to only like the air conditioning unit. There is this weird condensation on the air conditioning unit. It is almost like it is leaking and the flies are loving it. I was talking to some neighbors and I asked if they had any problems with flies and they told me no I called the HVAC company and they told me to talk to a pest control company. They thought they should be able to spray for the flies since they may have their larvae in the ground around the AC unit. The pest control company came out and sprayed, but it didn’t do any good. Within a week, the flies were right back. I called the HVAC company again and I asked them to come out to look at the AC unit. I told them about the condensation and the leaking fluids and he came out the same day. He told me that he didn’t think I should have flies but he was able to fix the leak in a short amount of time. I still had some flies, but the amount of flies was dwindling every day until they were nearly all gone. Now, I need to get a cement slab so they can put the AC unit on the slab instead of onto the ground.
