Natural gas fireplace keeps sunroom warm in winter

I don’t think there’s any nicer view on earth than the sight from the windows of my sunroom.

During all four seasons of the year, I enjoy a spectacular view of our backyard and the forest and lake beyond.

I live in the northeast, where we experience all four seasons. Each one has a distinct look. The one I prefer the most is winter. Of course I look forward to seeing the leaves change color in the fall. I like the daffodils in spring and the roses in summer. However, when the first few flakes of snow fall, I get so excited. The whole world looks so crisp and clean. Even though it’s freezing cold outside, I watch the snow accumulate from inside my perfectly heated home. I worried when we built the sunroom that it would be too chilly in the middle of Winter to utilize the space. During the construction process, I wanted to make sure that I would be able to enjoy it year-round. I added plenty of insulation and triple pane windows. I invested a natural gas fireplace to supplement the furnace. Although there are plenty of vents in the room, I wanted the look of the fireplace and the extra source of heat. The fireplace looks like a wood burning model, but there’s no fumes, soot or smoke. It operates from a cordless remote. I can start it up with a touch of a button, and it supplies a great deal of heat. We only run the extra heater when we are using the sunroom.
