I don’t sacrifice for comfort

I don’t sacrifice for comfort

It feels very much as though I might have missed out on life by not pursuing a more normal family trajectory, like I was supposed to.

My wife and I met in grad school.

One of the big attractions in our early 20s for both of us was how focused and driven the two of us felt about our prospective careers. We went at those careers for over two decades before the two of us realized that the two of us were in our forties. Then, suddenly the two of us realized that the two of us sort of decided to have a life without children. After much intentional discussion and consideration, the two of us chose officially to be a family with our creatures solely. Due to not having children, recently the two of us have been able to be really free to travel a superb deal. For years, the main mode of transportation was commercial flight. But, I got sick of all the hassle involved. Plus, I just plain dislike the Heating and A/C in airports and inside the plane itself. I can honestly never be comfortable. One is far too hot while the other is far too cold. So now, years later, the two of us primarily just travel by our small SUV on the road. I constantly suppose the air conditioner and the gas furnace in the car will always be comfortable. However, Heating and A/C takes precedence whenever the two of us stop along the road for the night. Both our wise wife and I choose our lodging based on a particular style of indoor Heating and A/C method. We care about finding those big wall units you can see from outside. I have never spent a single uncomfortable night where those Heating and A/C units were on site. Plus, they are reasonably priced for travelers. It’s sort of fun how much Heating and A/C plays in our travels.
