I have been silently dreading this day but, it has arrived.
The worst has happened.
Now I need to do what I need to do. The Heating and A/C tech warned myself and others a couple of years ago that our heating and cooling device was definitely starting to fall apart. The Heating and A/C had been running about 17 years at that point. The method that it was going to crap out was not any superb surprise given how long it had already been heating and cooling our home. But, I sure could have done a lot more to be a bit more prepared than I am. Now, I am faced directly with a dead Heating and A/C unit and no time to waste. The apartment was humid and hot first thing this afternoon. By instinct, I knew that the Heating and A/C device was done. I called the same Heating and A/C people as usual, who sent out an Heating and A/C worker who confirmed what I somehow already knew. An Heating and A/C business showed up a bit later to go over our options. Man, was that guy a godsend for my family. He came in the apartment with a “we got this” attitude that was totally inspiring. The drama of the situation just seemed to melt away in that moment due to this guy’s professionalism and expertise. The two of us found an Heating and A/C that would be great with his help. The model the two of us chose would also perfectly fit our budget because the Heating and A/C business made the monthly financial terms straight-forward to accept. He then went to his truck and simply brought in several portable cooling systems for free, like it was nothing. We could use these to stay comfortable until the entirely new Heating and A/C was installed.
