The only thing that I could think of doing was to begin replacing parts in the air conditioner in the order of what was most likely to be the problem, but unless I was lucky, I could end up spending thousands of dollars to get my air conditioner running, and I didn’t want to test my luck
I always fix my own HVAC units. I don’t have the money to pay an HVAC technician for every little problem that happens to my furnace or air conditioner, and even if I did have the money, I wouldn’t waste it paying an HVAC company. There has only been one time when I thought that I needed to call an HVAC technician after my central air conditioner stopped working, and that experience taught me a lot about HVAC technicians. I would consider myself pretty competent when it comes to fixing HVAC units. Since I have spent years fixing my own HVAC units, I thought that there wasn’t a problem that I haven’t dealt with before. However, when my central air conditioner stopped working, I was completely baffled. I tried diagnosing every problem that I could think of, but nothing seemed to come up with fixing the air conditioner. Finally, my wife told me that I should consider calling an HVAC technician, but I scoffed. What could an HVAC technician do that I couldn’t? I called the HVAC technician anyways, and he managed to fix the HVAC unit in only an hour. I guess that I shouldn’t underestimate the value of an HVAC technician.
