Well, I hope that the HVAC technician doesn’t accuse me of stealing.
I tried calling the HVAC company as soon as the HVAC technician left, but I knew that the HVAC technician left as soon as he left my house.
The HVAC company had already closed at this point, and I knew that the HVAC technician probably took the company van straight home. It wouldn’t be such a big deal if I knew that I would be home tomorrow for the HVAC technician to come by before he started work. What happened? The HVAC technician was working on my furnace all day, but when he left, he also left his tool bag here. The drill that the HVAC technician was using to take my furnace apart was laying on the floor in the room where my furnace is, and all of his tools were scattered on the basement floor. I didn’t want to pick up the tools for the HVAC technician, because I was afraid of accidentally putting his tools in the wrong place. I also didn’t want to be accused of stealing any of the tools that belonged to the HVAC technician. The problem was that I was leaving to head out of town tonight, and I wouldn’t be back for a week. I had no way for the HVAC technician to grab his tools, and I had no way of contacting the HVAC company or the HVAC technician to tell him how to get inside my house. The only thing that I can do is leave a key for the HVAC technician and wait until he calls me tomorrow. I know that as soon as the HVAC technician shows up to work tomorrow, he is going to realize that he doesn’t have his tools.
