When the two of us allowed my ancient mother-in-law to transport her stuff in with us, I didn’t think it would be a huge problem.
This is mostly, you see, because the two of us weren’t moving her right into the house with us at that point.
The two of us were entirely moving her into a studio home that is under our house. It has its own little setup down there as well as even its own door as well, so I stupidly thought it would work out perfectly. She would be close enough so that my dear wife as well as I could keep an eye on her although she would not be puttering around in the house all the time. I laugh at that assumption now. My grumpy old mother-in-law is constantly coming into my house in order to adjust the central temperature control. At least that’s why she claims she’s coming up here every day anyway. Her little studio new home shares Heating as well as A/C ductwork that operates with the main house. So her place is set to the same temperature that our regular house is. This is not panning out. She comes up at least dozen times a day to adjust the old heating system or air conditioner. She’s too hot then she’s too cold, no matter what, it’s never right. My wife has been talking about getting new zone control for the whole house. That way everyone can set their own temperature control as well as be comfortable. I guess time will tell but I hate to spend a lot of currency as well as finally have an Heating as well as A/C company install the expensive zone control if it ends up not going to improve things.
