I know it seems like a silly thing to get excited about, but I’m super excited to get our new air vent covers for our house tomorrow.
I guess when you’re an adult who is a homeowner, you get excited about mundane and strange things! The thing is, we have been working on a big HVAC renovation at our house for the past six months.
We decided back in the spring that we wanted to put in radiant heated floors as our main source of heating throughout our house. Then once we had made that decision, we figured that we might as well go ahead and install a newer, high efficiency central air conditioning system as well. I mean, if you’re in for a penny you should be in for a pound, as my grandma always used to say. In other words, there’s no reason to keep an old central air conditioning system in your house if you’re going to have these awesome, brand new radiant heated floors for heating! And so, the nightmare began. Our entire house was torn all to pieces during this HVAC remodel. We had pieces of flooring and dust and debris all over the place, not to mention parts and pieces of the radiant heated flooring and the air conditioning system. It was a giant mess and it seemed to take our local HVAC company forever to get things going. Now, all of the pieces are finally installed and we are almost finished with the whole project. The very last thing that we need to do is buy new A/C vent covers and then we will be done.
