In the mix of our stereo show

Nick March 25, 2020

I host a weekly talk show program on our local FM news station, and my show deals in politics, local events plus local disasters, but well, I had a bit of a disaster of our own on our last show, and right in the middle of the program the broadcasting component in the studio went out! We don’t guess exactly what happened with the broadcasting equipment, then all of a hasty there was just no sound when you spoke into the mic or ran anything through the sound board! It was total dead air on the stereo when the broadcasting component had its mishap… The techs around the stereo station were doing everything they could to get the broadcasting component back up plus running, however they were not able to.

The live talk show had to be canceled right in the middle of the show while the stereo station went plus called a professional to come out plus maintenance the broadcasting equipment, and broadcasting component is really sensitive just like general recording studio equipment… I have seen it time plus time again where stereo stations do not do the official upkeep on their broadcasting equipment, plus as a result, things like this end up happening right in the middle of a live stereo broadcast.

They ended up having the broadcasting component fully back up plus running by the following week. And our show went on as per usual. I explained to the listeners about the broadcasting component mishap at the start of the show that next week.
