Out of Control Air Conditioning at the Restaurant

One of the worst steakhouse experiences I went through was all because of a temperature issue, and some friends I had not seen in a long time came to visit our husband & me.

Both of us had a fun afternoon, & wanted to end our visit by eating at a steakhouse all of us all used to frequent together.

It was the middle of either June or July, so I did not suppose to wear a jacket. As all of us walked into the steakhouse, I instantly regretted my summer top with no sleeves! I started shivering right away. I started to wonder if I should mention something about the fact it seemed their air-conditioning seemed to be blasting uncontrollably, despite the fact that I did not want to ruin the dinner with our friends, then unluckily, I should have mentioned the air-conditioning complication sooner, as everyone was cold but didn’t want to run the night, either. It was silly how all of us looked, as all of us leaned in together looking at our menu, & placing our orders huddled in for body heat. My husband tried to mention something to the server, which I now noticed was wearing gloves and a scarf, & they told me they were unable to control the control unit. I seriously thought about promising a greater tip for his scarf, but instead all of us ate abruptly & hauled our butts back out to our weather conditions-controlled, heated cars. I knew at that moment that this rather dismal eating experience would prove to be a lesson on dining out. It doesn’t matter how fine the food is, if the temperature is icy cold or tropically hot, the experience is not a fine one! I knew I would take this as a lesson for when I would be hosting events that I need to regularly ensure passable heating & cooling so attendees are comfortable.
