Sometimes I feel like the building is so stuffy that we are all breathing in the same old recirculated air all day long
The office where I have been working for the past few years has a terrible HVAC system. I don’t know why they don’t just install a new one. I mean, I know that heating and cooling systems, especially commercial HVAC systems, cost a lot of money. But the thing is, I think that the owners of the building end up spending way more on commercial HVAC repair than they ever would on just biting the bullet and installing a new, high efficiency HVAC system. I can’t even tell you how many times over the past year that there has been a commercial HVAC truck blocking the parking lot at work. It seems like they are there every week or so, working on the furnace or the A/C or even on the thermostat system. I’ve gotten to know most of the HVAC technicians on a first name basis, too. That’s how you know that the HVAC company is there too much! The heating and cooling system in the building is truly terrible, though. I can’t ever get warm enough in my office during the winter and then in the summertime, the A/C runs non stop and I end up freezing to death. It’s pretty awful. Not to mention the fact that the indoor air quality in the building is sorely lacking as well. Sometimes I feel like the building is so stuffy that we are all breathing in the same old recirculated air all day long. I would love it if they would install an air purification system in the building. Heck, at this point, I would be happy if they would just change out all the air filters every once in a while!
