The pollen this year has gotten a lot worse than usual.
For most of my life i’ve had dust allergies, although I think that this year they have been even worse than normal! Occasionally I feel I am going to sneeze my head off, and other times I feel my eyes are itching so much that it will drive me crazy. I complained about it to my doctor many times, and even though he has given me all of the dust sensitivity medications that he can supply me, he talked about doing this round of dust sensitivity shots. I don’t care for getting shots so I asked him if there was anything else he could recommend for me to try. He said that he didn’t have anything else to try, even though he said that if he were me then he would talk to my HVAC corporation. Well, I didn’t have an official HVAC company at that time. I had never honestly had any trouble with my gas furnace or with my central air conditioning system before, so I didn’t have much of a reason to have an HVAC company on speed dial. I went home plus looked up some different Heating plus Air Conditioning companies that were close by to me. I called one that had the best ratings. The HVAC business that I spoke to said that they could try cleaning out the ventilation ductwork at our home and that that would genuinely help. He also said that they could try installing HEPA filters in our HVAC system. I thought both of those things sounded like good ideas, so I made an appointment to have the air ducts cleaned out early next week. I’m honestly hoping that between that plus the HEPA filters, my breathing will improve!
