About 10 years ago my wife and I decided that it was a good idea to update our home.
We both had a particularly large tax return for once and we decided to put the money back into our small residence.

We went with a geothermal heat pump rather than a traditional forced air furnace and AC system, and the geothermal heat pump is amazing because it transfers energy between your home and a program that is installed deep underground, but you pay a fair amount of money to have the geothermal heat pump installed but it is basically free after that. Thank God we invested in our geothermal heat pump at that point. In the past few years we’ve both lost our jobs and the lack of high energy bills has been saving our asses. If you have extra money I recommend that you invest in a geothermal heat pump while it lasts.
