Scary stories used to keep me up at night

The cold breath of air I felt on my neck was because of the A/C vent right above my bed

Right before bed, I used to listen to paranormal and other scary stories on my Ipod before going to bed. A lot of people call me crazy, but scary stories just don’t seem to scare me anymore. I guess when I said that though I jinxed myself, because that same night I listened to an incredibly creepy story and I was a bit spooked. Okay, okay, maybe a bit more than that. I heard that cold rooms could show that there was a ghost present and how people would suddenly get cold and something bad would happen afterwards. Needless to say, I had difficulty sleeping that night and I kept tossing and turning and thinking about the stories. Then suddenly, I felt a big cooling breeze come over me and I freaked, and pulled the covers close to me and looked around my room suspiciously. My room within 15 minutes became icy cold and my heart started racing, I feared that something really bad would happen next, like being dragged under my bed. Then I felt a cold breath right on my neck and I ran out of my room and slept on the couch for the night. It wasn’t until the next morning that I discovered that I had left my air conditioning on the entire night and that’s why my room was so icy cold. The cold breath of air I felt on my neck was because of the A/C vent right above my bed. I felt stupid for being scared of an air conditioner, and I laughed it off and turned my HVAC unit off. I wasn’t laughing later though when I returned home and my house was still icy cold, even with the heater on.
