Splitting things up

Splitting things up

Our local heating and air conditioning company did something really unusual recently. They actually split up the company into 2 different departments. One for heating and one for air conditioning. To me this didn’t make any sense. Arn’t heat and a/c companies supposed to be equipt for all HVAC equipment and types? And wouldn’t you think that heating and air conditioning are practically the same thing since they both generate out of a central heating and cooling unit? Unless of course you have a furnace or some kind of boiler. Evidently the reason for this unusual change was because of something like that. A lot of people in the area have gas furnaces and either hot water or electric boilers for their heating, and stand alone central air conditioning units with thermostats to take care of the cooling. So both departments within the heating and air conditioning company would be able to concentrate on just those things. Even though to me it still sounds strange, thinking about it more with that stuff in mind makes it all a little more sensible to me now. I am just glad that I deal with an independent heating and air conditioning contractor and not my local heat and a/c company. Otherwise this whole change they did would really just confuse me all the time to be honest. But if this is what they need to do, then go for it! I wouldn’t want anyone to tell me how to run my own business, so what place is it for me to even say anything about this.
