I decided to buy a new furnace for the house I am selling.

I wasn’t going to buy a new furnace, but I think it will add great value to the house. I already had a couple of showings, but They love the creek that backs up to the property line and they even love the unfinished basement, but the thought of fixing a heating problem is a serious turn off to potential buyers. My realtor suggested buying the furnace a few weeks ago, but I really didn’t want to waste my money. Now I’m beginning to realize that might be a good idea. I talked to a couple of HVAC contractors about the job and I can get a decent furnace installed for a few thousand dollars. One HVAC contractor even offered to install the item and wait for payment until after the house sells. He wants 3% interest for carrying the loan, but I think it might be the best option for me. I won’t have to come up with any money out of pocket, and I still get the new equipment. I even get a great gas furnace with a 99% AFUE rating. That’s one of the best machines on the market. It uses almost all of its energy for converting heat. I really hope the changes will help the house sell more easily. The brand new heating equipment should appeal to a variety of folks including the ones that have already viewed this property in the past.
