For my husband’s Christmas gift I want to get him a shed. I have gone online so many times pricing different shed options. Building a shed seems to be the cheapest option but the most difficult. There are so many things to take into consideration. Also, I know my husband wants to have certain elements within the shed. He really likes using power tools and plugging in the batteries. So I need to have an electric wired within the shed. Another part is that I should have some type of HVAC system. Technically he could work in his shed year around and be fine. However, my husband really likes working with wood. He makes furniture and handy things around the house entirely of wood. The wood can easily get damaged and not stored in climate control spaces. I also worry about moisture ruining my husband’s tools. I have talked to a HVAC contractor and he is willing to install a mini split system in the shed. I just need to have it in the early stages of building. The HVAC professional then can easily fit the wiring and refrigerant tubes of the indoor air handler on the wall. The HVAC technicians seem excited to do the installation work in the building stages. He told me that it will be easier for him and less of a chance of a mistake. The HVAC machine will essentially be built right within the shed walls. This gift is going to cost a fortune but be worth it. Adding HVAC is necessary but expensive.
