When I opened the door I couldn’t see my face, but the technician looked like he saw a ghost
I’ve never lived anywhere in my life except a small town in the middle of the Southwest. I have been here for 30 years. My parents live two miles away on 3 acres of farmland. I live 5 miles away from my sister and my brother has a farm adjacent to mine. The area is really small and everyone knows everyone. When someone new moves to town, everyone talks about it for days and days. Well news travels really quickly in a small town and it didn’t take long before I found out that a new guy that moved to the area looked exactly like me. I thought my friends and my neighbors were crazy and I figured it was someone who was closely resembling me. Someone found out that the guy works for an HVAC company and they convinced me to call the company and request the guy to service the HVAC system. I told them that it was really strange to call and request a new guy to work on the system, but my friends were convinced that I had to see the guy in person. I made the appointment for Tuesday morning and Sally was there when the HVAC technician arrived. When I opened the door I couldn’t see my face, but the technician looked like he saw a ghost. In a parallel universe, I think this guy was my twin. He looks exactly like me. If I didn’t know that my mom and dad lived here their whole lives, I might have asked the guy for a DNA test.
