I’ve never lived anywhere other than a small town in my entire life.
I’ve been here for 20 years, and my parents live just down the road on 7 acres of farmland. I also only live 10 miles away from my brother and my sister has a farm adjacent to mine. This town is so small and everyone knows everyone, but when someone new moved into town, everyone started talking about it for mornings and mornings. Well news travels hastily in a small neighborhood and it didn’t take long before I discovered that a new person that moved to the town looked exactly like me. I thought my friends and my family members were crazy because I assumed it was someone who was closely resembling me instead. Someone found out that this new guy was working for a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company and they convinced me to call the company to request him as my HVAC professional. I told everyone that it was weird to call and request a new person to work on my HVAC equipment, but my friends were convinced that I needed to see him up close. I made the appointment for Sunday afternoon and my sister was there when the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker arrived. When I opened the front door I couldn’t see my reaction, but the worker looked like he just saw a ghost. In a parallel universe, I suppose this person was my twin, because he looked exactly like me. If I didn’t know that my parents lived here their whole lives, I would have asked him for a DNA test.
