I hate walking across the chilly cold floors. If you are a single folks with granite floors, they can be even colder. The only real way to solve this perpetual concern is to have radiant heated flooring installed. While doing research, both of us found more than a few options for radiant heated flooring. You can use electric or even hydronic heating. Hydronic heating is expensive but it can save money a lot in the very long run. Anything that will use electricity is going to be expensive. I had my entire house heated with electricity and that cost myself and others about $150 every month. It was slowly killing myself plus others. I believed it was time to plunge directly into hydronic radiant floors. I honestly wish that I would have easily thought about doing this before moving to our current home. All of our belongings need to be moved in order for this renovation plus upgrade to take place. It will be a huge additional cost due to the fact that both of us will be replacing the flooring as well. I was never much of a fan of that old flooring, so it makes it even more easy to pay the huge cost for hydronic radiant heating. These hydronic radiant heated floors really make a huge difference during the months of the year when the temperatures outside are extremely cold, icy, and frozen.
