Have to keep the meat cold

Over at the meat processing plant, they keep all of the cuts of beef as well as pork in a large refrigerated area, but the space is cooled by a large chiller that blows chilly air into the room.

The chiller is responsible for keeping the meat fresh.

When the chilly storage unit fails, the company risks losing thousands as well as thousands of dollars of products… A few weeks ago, the chiller stopped really working. The manager of the meat processing plant called the HVAC commercial company where I work. The guy was frantic, because the problem occurred over night. When he came to the plant at 5am, the temperature inside the cooler was 41 degrees instead of 26! I was assigned the job on Wednesday day. I gathered all of my tools before leaving the workshop. I arrived at the job location early in the day and I took a few minutes to fully assess the situation. I checked all of the chiller components and the blower motor. It seemed clear to myself and others that the blower motor was the problem. The chiller appeared to be really working fantastic and the air was crisp and cold. I spent all day trying to service the blower motor, but the device had to be updated. Every one of us had to order the area from a local distributor, as well as it did not come in until the next day. Thankfully, the meat processing plant has another chilly storage section where they could relocate all of the food until the next day, because once I removed the blower motor, the chiller would not work at all.
