Most people are surprised when I show them my tattoo.
I only ever got 1, however it was something that meant a lot to me when I was young.
I honestly asked my parents if I could have a window a/c unit. I was gleeful when they said I could, however somewhat disappointed when they said I would have to buy it myself plus I would have to contribute a percentage to the energy bills for using the a/c unit. When I thought about it, it was perfectly adequate, yet I didn’t even make an allowance for doing chores. I ended up asking them if I could do extra chores for an amount of money to save up for a window a/c unit. They agreed plus I worked difficult mowing the grass, cutting wood for the fireplace, plus other chores I didn’t commonly do! My parents were gratified with my motivation plus the work I was doing. They ended up giving me the whole amount for a truly nice window a/c unit. That window a/c unit meant the world to me because I knew I earned it plus I was so thankful for being able to be comfortable in my room. It helped me focus more when I was doing homework plus it helped me to sleep way better at night, and of course, my parents didn’t prefer that I kept it on during the night, however fortunately there was a sleep timer. I could have it set to shut off 1 hour after I fell asleep, which was a useful energy saving feature. I ended up getting a tattoo of that window a/c unit on my arm, plus people consistently laugh however admit that it is pretty cool.
