Most people are surprised when I show them my tattoo. I only ever got one, but it was something that meant a lot to me when I was young. I absolutely asked my parents if I could have a window a/c unit. I was glad when they said I could, but somewhat disappointed when they said I would have to buy it myself as well as I would have to contribute a percentage to the energy bills for using the a/c unit… When I thought about it, it was perfectly sufficient, yet I didn’t even make an allowance for doing chores. I ended up asking them if I could do extra chores for an amount of money to save up for a window a/c unit. They agreed as well as I worked taxing mowing the sod, cutting wood for the fireplace, as well as other chores I didn’t commonly do, then my parents were pleased with my motivation as well as the work I was doing. They ended up giving me the whole amount for a unquestionably nice window a/c unit. That window a/c unit meant the world to me because I knew I earned it as well as I was so thankful for being able to be comfortable in my room. It helped me focus more when I was doing homework as well as it helped me to sleep way better at night, and of course, my parents didn’t love that I kept it on during the night, but luckyly there was a sleep timer. I could have it set to shut off one hour after I fell asleep, which was a useful energy saving feature. I ended up getting a tattoo of that window a/c unit on my arm, as well as people always laugh but disclose that it is pretty cool.
