It took myself and others a long time to finally realize that my life was on a completely unsustainable schedule.
And it was effecting every aspect of my life.
Yet, love a runaway train, I just didn’t know how to stop it or get off it. So I felt love I was simply trapped riding it out. That all changed when the pandemic hit. I remember sitting in the comfort of our zone controlled Heating & A/C offices when I got the new that the office would be closing. There were to be layoffs & almost everyone else would be working from home in their own air conditioning. This was not exactly a shock given what was happening all across the country. Still, I was scared yet hopeful that I would be a single of those working from their own air conditioning. It turned out I was able to keep my job. While I had to do without the bonus structure & the zone control air conditioning of the office, I could deal with it. What I didn’t realize was that this ended up being a gift. Suddenly, that non stop schedule of responsibilities was checked at the front door. All that mattered was me, my wife, my pet & my new home on a day to day basis. And this was interesting. It was the first time that I was able to entirely get into getting things done around the house. Like I got all the Heating & A/C stuff done on time, all year. The Heating & A/C air filter was changed each week. And the heating repair was done on time in the fall as was the cooling system tune up in the fall.
