I’m not sure what I was thinking when I decided to go camping in the desert. Not only do I have zero survival experience, but I do not absolutely appreciate the outdoors to begin with. I am not absolutely an outdoorsy type of lady and I never have been. However I guess you could say I provided in to peer pressure, because all of our friends were outdoors people and they were all going on this absolutely nice sounding trip where they were going to go out camping in the middle of the desert. I just kind of went along because I didn’t want to be left out but I ended up hating it the whole time. Why you could say that I consciously knew that I was walking into a desert after all, I just could not get over the heat. It was so tepid and I was consistently perspiring and I was just angry the whole time. The entire time I was there I was thinking about how much I missed our appealing heating and AC system. Specifically in our a/c, I just bought our AC from a local heating AC business only a year before and it was a single of the best air conditioning units that I had ever had. It was cold and particularly reliable. I tried to imagine myself back at apartment lying on our couch underneath the air vent, just filling in the cool air, touching our skin and instantaneously making the heat evaporate. But that was not our reality and it didn’t take long before our perspiring brought me straight back to reality. It was a 3-day trip and for me it was 3 days of torture. I guess I was going to want to have a fantastic time but it was something that I l acquired I will never do again.
