Mars needed a few special HVAC technicians to save the civilization there and I volunteered to go. I have been working on furnaces and a/c units for longer than I can remember. When I was a young adult I got the privilege to enter the HVAC advanced technology company. This cooling and heating company focuses on advancing HVAC units to be more than just gas furnaces, portable space heaters, and window air conditioners. We strive to make HVAC units better each year. The first big advance we did was develop the wireless thermostat which in turn led to the smart thermostat. We were glad to do away with the old dial thermostat because we are always looking to improve the future of HVAC units. While working at the advanced cooling and heating facility, I was assigned to help build an air conditioning system that would cool a globe house on Mars. There were several hundred people living on Mars, and they could not use normal window air conditioners or central air conditioners there, so they were really struggling. In the freeze times, they would use a fireplace in their home to warm themselves. Our goal was to provide them with amazing home air conditioning and heating. However, the twist came when we found out that both the a/c and heating unit had to have a whole home air purification system intertwined in it, as well as advanced HEPA filters and air filters. We worked day and night to get these air conditioner and air purification systems built and working, as well as the furnace. For the furnace we decided to go the route of an electric furnace rather than a hot water boiler heating system because electricity was something well developed in Mars settlements.
