Recently, we just replaced the heating and cooling equipment in our home after 25 years.
That was 25 years of uninterrupted heating and cooling from a pretty good level of residential HVAC equipment. When we first bought this house, the first thing we did was to update the HVAC unit. Actually, we bought the house in an as is sort of condition. But there was no way we were getting this much house without doing the work ourselves. So the first project was having the HVAC professionals come out to put in the new HVAC equipment. It wasn’t the top of the line but not too far off. The HVAC contractor felt like it was the best heating and cooling equipment that we could get with our budget. From the first day after installation, I made sure the HVAC unit got proper HVAC maintenance. What that meant was the HVAC technician came out every fall for heating maintenance and then again in the spring for an air conditioning tune up. Would you believe that in 25 years, we’ve never had any sort of heating and cooling breakdown. That’s pretty remarkable and I think it’s totally due to the fact that we never missed when it came to HVAC maintenance. These days, we are enjoying some of the best quality heating and air ever. The new heating and cooling equipment has the very latest in HVAC technology. I love having the smart thermostat and the zone controlled HVAC as well. But one thing remains constant, I immediately signed up the new HVAC unit for the HVAC service plan and the seasonal HVAC maintenance.
