Summer is finally here. I am ready for it, and before the hot season starts, I usually have high-priority things I need to get done. These things affect my life differently; if neglected, they can mess up my entire summer! In the last few weeks of spring, I often have the cooling contractor come to my home to do the air conditioning repair. A dealer once told me that it is important to have my HVAC system worked on before winter as well as summer; regular maintenance ensures that the HVAC components are in perfect condition to function optimally. I also got some wonderful energy-saving tips from the dealer. If your HVAC system is in good condition, it will function best and not consume much energy. This spring was no different – I booked an appointment with an HVAC company to scrub the filters and inspect my thermostat. Last fall, I bought a new air conditioning system. The dealers cleaned the filters. They also cleaned the cooling equipment, which had gotten dusty. I was unaware that the indoor air conditions had deteriorated until the workers were done. They did not take long. They were very efficient and even cleaned their work area up when they were done. I find it gets dusty during the summer, and the purification testing would help with dust sensitivities. Once they were done, I started preparing for my summer get-together with my family. As is customary, these must-do activities provide for a nice summer season.
