Move quicker please

Move quicker please

Last week, I made an appointment to have some minor repairs done on my air conditioner unit, but I set up the appointment for early in the morning so I would not need to take off work.

I started late Tuesday afternoons, and as long as the Heating and A/C company was at the home by 8AM as he was scheduled, I would be at work by noon, however when the Heating and A/C company finally arrived, it was already 10 o’clock, even though I was still fairly certain I could get to work on time.

It seemed to take forever to get the A/C repaired, and I saw the clock slowly ticking by the minutes and the hour. I wanted to go outside and shout at the Heating and A/C tech. I wanted to ask if he thought he could work a little faster? I was afraid I would frustrated him and he would work even slower. If I wanted to be at work on time, I was going to need to find a way to set a fire under the Heating and A/C tech and have him finish her work in the next several hours. It was almost 11AM when she came inside and started talking to me about all the work she needed to do. She showed me all the repairs and explained the bill. I had the urge to egg him on, in gestures if not words, so I could get out of the house. By the time the Heating and A/C tech was done, although he was thorough and did the job well, I was already going to be late for work. I called our boss and asked if I could take the rest of the day off.
