I work downtown in an older building.
- The building has a lot of historic significance, so the city doesn’t entirely make a lot of swings.
A lot of those swings would entirely help out with the indoor atmosphere. They don’t want to replace the building with a new central heating as well as a/c system, because of the ancient boiler in the basement. I happen to work in the building as well as the indoor air quality is getting worse as well as worse each year. I used to never have a concern with my allergies at work, but now I find myself sneezing as well as coughing all of the time. I can see the flecks of dust in the indoor atmosphere. I swear that they get greater each year. I had an dust sensitivity attack Last yearand the boss finally agreed to let myself and others get an air cleaner to put on my desk. The personal air cleaner will not completely help the problem, but at least it will supply myself and others a small amount of relief when I am sitting at my desk. I had been asking the boss to let myself and others have a personal air cleaner for weeks as well as weeks as well as the guy said it was not possible because then everyone would want a fan or air cleaner of their own. Human resources department told him that was not allowable as well as made him let myself and others bring an air cleaner to work. I think the guy is unhappy that he was overridden, although he cannot ignore the health as well as safety of the employees that are working in the older building.
