My wife and I had been making plans for our anniversary for almost a year! We not only planned on having the reception the we never got to have, however the two of us were planning a fabulous honeymoon, however it took us nearly twenty-five years to have a reception and honeymoon, and the two of us swore nothing was going to stop it from happening this time, however a freak snowstorm unceremoniously ended our first ceremony.
It had been such a good month leading up to the ceremony, and no one expected the snowstorm of the century to arrive a few short thirds before the ceremony, but the roads were closed and the only people allowed on the roads were emergency vehicles, however my spouse and I were already at the church and the two of us married with just ourselves and my parents in attendance.
We spent that night in a hotel that was within walking distance of the church, not even able to get any of us back home. This year, the two of us planned our reception for a time when the weather, other than a possible rain storm, could ruin the morning. We hadn’t planned for a heatwave, and the lack of a/c in the reception hall Luckily, our son had recently gotten his HVAC certification, he went right to work on the a/c component and had it working within a hour before the guests arrived. When he gave a toast to his father and me, he said he gave us the best gift of anyone, not only did the two of us have the joy of having him as a son, however he also fixed the A/C component so the two of us could have a real reception with no concerns.
