I kind of hate to confess it, but I am a bit picky over the temperature control.
It doesn’t matter who it is, I easily don’t savor the temperature being adjusted without our knowing.
I think I got this from our dad, who was also overprotective over the temperature control. Except he would take it to extremes. I would occasionally wake up at night to find him in the hallway, next to the temperature control smoking and eyeing anyone who passed by. I ended up taking after him in this regard, and this had caused some concerns with our family members. Once when our sibling stayed over, she was cold one night and turned up the temperature control. I woke up from a deep sleep because I could just recognize the temperature change, that’s how much it bothered me. Since she was staying in our house, she would have to adjust to our favorite hot and cold temperatures. When I met our current partner, I was somewhat sad about her reaction to our protectiveness over the heating and air conditioner temperature control. Thankfully for me, she couldn’t care less about whatever the temperature was. So I was able to rest assured that the temperature control was not going to be messed with. I easily became protective over the temperature control when I upgraded to a smart temperature control. I was able to lock the heating and A/C temperature control, and so I was the only one who was able to access it. Whenever our partner and I have kids, this feature comes in handy to prevent prying hands from changing the temperature.
