My boys really need to learn to play in appropriate areas and abide by the rules that me and my husband set forth for them.
My kids are usually very well behaved. I have two boys and I have to say that I am grateful for them. They are really good kids and I love them dearly. However, being the rowdy boys that they are, they recently broke something during one of their wrestling matches. They were roughhousing in the hallway where a smart thermostat is mounted. Wouldn’t you know it, one boy pushed the other into the thermostat and broke it in such a way that it was simply not repairable. I scolded both of them and grounded them for a week for such carelessness. The truth is, the smart thermostat was replaceable and not all that expensive, but that’s not the point. My boys really need to learn to play in appropriate areas and abide by the rules that me and my husband set forth for them. So, every day after school this next week, they will be marching straight to their rooms to do their homework. Then, if they truly do finish their homework, they will only be allowed to read a book or do anything that doesn’t require the technology that they so crave. Speaking of technology, I am very grateful that smart thermostats are relatively cheap these days, because I have gotten so used to them. I absolutely love how convenient they are! Well, it’s off to the store to buy a brand new one before the end of the night, because I can’t go without air conditioning for a single day!
