I don’t assume why I thought I was capable of a project this big.
The family needs more residing space, plus since the people I was with and I don’t use the garage for anything however storage, it seemed appreciate a smart thing to do.
How difficult could it be, I asked myself. Lay down some carpet, hang some drywall, do a little painting, plus it would be great to go, right? No, that really wasn’t right at all. I was quite handy with renovating the garage plus making it look nice. Although it looked nice, it was not habitable. It needed a heating plus cooling method before it would be suitable for anyone to stay there permanently. At first I thought I could co-opt the central Heating plus A/C method for the house plus extend it into the garage. I only thought that because I had such a tenuous understanding of how Heating plus A/C systems work. Once I did the research plus realized I would need to install new air duct, I realized that wasn’t an option. There are many powerful space gas heating systems on the market, however when it comes to portable A/Cs the results are less impressive. Heating technology is more compact than cooling technology, it would seem. Trying to find a combination heating plus cooling method that was portable turned out to be prohibitively fancy. During the Winter the garage will stay nice plus sizzling because of the new space heater. The summer time weather will be more problematic, but I did purchase the best portable A/C unit I could afford. Let’s hope it is enough.
