My Uncle Joe was always the black sheep of the family.
He was a nice enough fellow, just an oddball.
He lived in a large house on the edge of town, and mostly kept to himself. His garage was a workshop, and he spent most of his time there working on inventions. After scavenging the junkyards and flea markets, Uncle Joe liked to take the machines he had found and transform them into something new. The funny thing is that he wasn’t doing it to get rich, he just liked to make things. When Uncle Joe passed on, I was asked by the family to clear out his garage, and that is where I found the most amazing HVAC equipment I have ever seen. Uncle Joe mostly bought old air conditioners, humidifiers, and things like that, and he managed to make them better than they were before. I know for the fact that Uncle Joe never studied HVAC systems or got his certification, but apparently he never needed any of that. I found a window-mounted A/C unit that had been originally made in 1985, and Uncle Joe had managed to replace all the parts and make it better than it had ever been. We all thought he was crazy, but it turns out Uncle Joe was a genius when it came to heating and cooling systems, and none of us ever knew it. To honor his memory I kept all of his creations. Some of them look strange, but I had to admit it’s the best and most powerful air conditioning I’ve ever felt in my life.
