I really hope that my kids will learn their lesson and they will not be so rowdy in the hallway again
My two boys are in a lot of trouble this evening. They were roughhousing in the hallway and one pushed the other into the smart thermostat. He ended up breaking it beyond repair and it crashed to the floor. Naturally, I had to go out and purchase a brand new smart thermostat that same day, because we were going without air conditioning in the meantime. We won’t be going without climate control for very long, but my kids are definitely grounded for what they did. There will be no video games for a week! For the next week, after school, they will have to go straight to their rooms and they will have no technology. They will be sorry for being so careless with their play. The smart thermostat won’t cost all that much, and it will be easy to install but that is not the point. The point is, if they hadn’t been wrestling in the house, then the smart thermostat would not have been broken in the first place. They need to learn to listen to their parents and abide by our house rules. Soon the air conditioning system will be working as good as new once more. I really hope that my kids will learn their lesson and they will not be so rowdy in the hallway again. Smart thermostats may be relatively cheap these days, but if they keep getting broken, then the cost is going to add up rather quickly. I love my boys, but they need to be less rambunctious and more civilized in the future!
