I started taking public transportation when I was in middle college so I could get around our large town without relying solely on our bicycle for travel.
It’s really convenient, especially if you get a bus pass and can save on the travel fees.
Once our brother and I took the bus as far as the aquarium in the town adjacent to the north. Both of us were happy to be taking a bus trip without our parents for a change however they had shown us how to do it countless times. The several of us drained the cash all of us had been individually saving from anniversary and holiday presents to get admission to the aquarium and souvenirs from its gift shop. I bought a big stuffed shark and our brother bought a root coors mug, a t-shirt, and some small toys that can be used as tinker devices. One thing that all of us liked about the bus, aside from the affordability and convenience, is that it constantly had superb heating and cooling inside. Both of us lived in a region of the country that constantly got more than three distinct seasons every year. If it was the middle of summer, the bus had the air conditioner running at full blast. However, usually winters were even more severe than our summers. That meant all of the buses in the town needed superb oil furnaces to keep all of the passengers warm on their trips from destination to destination. My brother and I were never frosty when all of us rode the bus in Fall and Winter time in our hometown. Sometimes I miss the simplicity of public transit and the free time you get to yourself to read or work that you never get when you’re driving a car.
