Life transitions aren’t easy.
And when those come in your sixties, that only adds to the degree of difficulty. This is right where I find myself at the moment. However, I just try to keep reminding myself that this is only temporary. Because one day soon, I will own my HVAC equipment again. This all started just over a year ago. My wife and I have been toying with the idea of putting the family home on the market. The house was simply too big for us now that the kids were gone. Additionally, we sure wanted to cash in while the real estate market was still white hot. So when the HVAC technician told us that our HVAC equipment was on its last lap, this was the signal to list the house. We upgraded the HVAC unit to the very latest in residential HVAC. There is now zone controlled HVAC, a smart thermostat and there is even a remote for the HVAC unit as well. The new HVAC equipment was a very big selling point end this enabled us to get a great price for the house. Yeah, this also meant packing up and moving. And we had moved in more than 30 years. The apartment we are in temporarily is just motivating me to find a new house. This apartment does not have the latest in residential HVAC. It was easily the hottest summer I’ve ever experienced inside a house in my life. Air conditioner just ran all the time anyway. No way I’m going through another summer like that one. Next summer, we’ll be somewhere the residential HVAC is up to the task and comes with all sorts of HVAC technology.
